Jesus Christ is Coming Soon

The evidences that we are in the final hours before the return of Christ for His Church are all around us. Prophecies are coming to pass daily as God is setting the stage for the second coming of His Son. The next major world event will likely be the rapture of the Church. The hour is urgent and the time is at hand. Therefore, it is imperative for every believer to be living in full, unconditional commitment and surrender to Christ. We must be men and women of prayer and service, who are sold out and on fire for Jesus.

Because the hour is late, we need to seize every opportunity to learn God's Word, and to press on to spiritual maturity as quickly as possible so that we can be used by Him in mighty ways in these last days. God is opening unprecedented doors for missions and evangelism in Africa, Eastern Europe, South America, China, India and around the world. The laborers are few and the opportunities endless. Calvary Chapel Bible College Colorado is a unique place where the study of God's Word is expedited, rapidly equipping believers for service so they can be effectively used by God in these final, decisive hours.

Also, in light of this sense of urgency, we desire to plant churches locally (and we are doing just that). This not only reaches out with the love of Christ in our sphere of influence, it equips the student to plant churches around the world. If a student will not and can not commit to evangelism and church planting across the street, they likely will not do it on the other side of the planet.

To Know God and Equip Servants

Before Jesus said to Peter, “Feed My sheep,” He asked, “Do you love Me?” Until this question is settled we are not ready for true service. Our great desire at CCBC Colorado is to see each student totally committed and abandoned to Jesus Christ, loving Him with all their heart.

To know Him is to love Him - we know Him through His Word. “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” We purpose to give you the whole counsel of God, from Genesis to Revelation, which is sufficient to equip you.

“Then he said to them all, ‘If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me’.” Our Lord came not to be served, but to serve and give His life a ransom for us all. We pray you will receive “the manifold grace of God” in order to develop the humble heart of a servant and be strengthened “to bear much fruit, adorning the doctrine of God our Savior” in every respect.

This will be accomplished as Zechariah prophesied, “Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord of hosts.” We expect you will be conformed more into the image of Jesus Christ and endowed for ministry by the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

You have a tremendous potential, all of you, but it lies in consecration of your lives to God. You can go down in history as one of the great leaders of the church of Jesus Christ, or you can go down in history as a nothing, a life wasted. It’s your choice. But the secret of strength lies in commitment to Jesus Christ. And I challenge you while you are here at the college that you’ll make that kind of commitment to the Lord, and you’ll become everything that God wants you to be. A power for God, bringing victory to many people.

Another way to describe Calvary Chapel Bible College Colorado is that we exists for one primary and very simple purpose: "To enable men and women of all ages to come to know Jesus Christ more fully and intimately through the careful study of God's Word."

We believe that regular, Holy Spirit inspired, verse-by-verse Bible study is the way God reveals Himself to His children. Calvary Chapel is a Biblically-based ministry. The Bible is our final authority in all we do and believe.

We also believe that the primary purpose of life, the reason for our creation, is that we might know the living God. We believe that all Christian service and activity is secondary to knowing God personally. God is more interested in the minister than in the ministry. Relationship with God through Jesus Christ is the essence of Christianity. Therefore, our goal is to know Him better every day. We want to know Jesus better today than we did yesterday, and we want to know Him better tomorrow than we do today.

Calvary Chapel Bible College Colorado is a place where believers can come, study the Word of God, adore Jesus in worship, serve Him in love, and get to know Him intimately. If we know Jesus better when we leave the Bible College than we did when we came, we have achieved our goal and the ministry is a success.

Many believers are at a point in their lives where they desire to study the Word of God intensively -- to be immersed in verse-by-verse Bible study in order that they might grow individually and find their place of service within the Body of Christ. Calvary Chapel Bible College Colorado provides a place where Christians can come apart from the world for a season to grow and learn, to build a solid Biblical foundation for a lifetime of service.
